Welcome to My Blog

I'm excited to launch this blog as a space to share my thoughts, experiences, and insights on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, fintech, and the journey of building secure digital economies across Africa.

My Journey So Far

As a Chevening Scholar and Mandela Washington Fellow, I've had the privilege of working across Angola, the UK, and the US, tackling some of the most pressing challenges in digital trust and financial inclusion.

From managing ICT operations for Doctors Without Borders to building a fintech startup for Angola's informal economy, each experience has taught me valuable lessons about:

  1. The importance of context - Solutions must be tailored to local needs
  2. Security first - Trust is the foundation of digital adoption
  3. Inclusive design - Technology should serve everyone, not just the connected few

Current Focus: Building Tapy

Right now, I'm deeply focused on Tapy - a fintech solution designed to bring secure, cashless payments to Angola's informal economy. With 13 million users and 40%+ of GDP at stake, the challenge is both massive and meaningful.

I'll be sharing regular updates on:

  • Technical challenges and solutions
  • User research insights
  • Policy and regulatory considerations
  • Hardware prototype development
